Hey folks. It’s a tough job being a benefits superhero. Not only do you have to be knowledgeable, but you also have to be ready at a moment’s notice. You never know when someone will need a hand.
Fact is, people need information on how they can get the most out of their employer-sponsored benefits. Whether they have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care FSA (DCAP), Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), Health Savings Account (HSA), or Transit/Commuter benefit, sometimes a little assistance or extra knowledge is needed in order to take advantage of these tax-free accounts.
There’s another important benefit that can cause confusion – COBRA. COBRA allows people who experience a qualifying event to continue insurance coverage under their company’s group health plan.
Even for an amazing superhero, all of these benefits are a lot to keep up with. If you don’t believe me, ask the newest member of my team – Betty the Benefactress.
On a recent adventure, I came across another like-minded person who shares not only a love for form-fitting leotards, but also sharing knowledge with people. Introducing Betty the Benefactress!
Where Betty came from exactly, I’m not sure. All I know is that while I was rescuing people from a burning office building one day (as a superhero, I’m expected to do more than inform people about benefits), a young lady was tending to people’s injuries. Many were worried about the fire’s effect on their job and benefits. Betty the Benefactress calmly and simply explained the many aspects of COBRA insurance.
Here, see for yourself in this video, The Adventures of Captain Contributor and the COBRA Catastrophe:
Needless to say, Betty the Benefactress is amazing. She has comprehensive knowledge, a keen wit, and extraordinary superpowers. And she’s ready to pitch in whenever people need help.
In the coming months, Betty and I will be there side-by-side dispensing more knowledge and rescuing people from harrowing situations in comic books and videos. Look for more adventures coming soon!
